Jeff Bezos' fiancée Lauren Sanchez receives massive backlash for 'incredibly inappropriate' outfit at Trump inauguration

Amazon founder Jeff Bezos' finacee Lauren Sanchez has received criticism for what social media users called absolutely "inappropriate dress" for the occasion of Donald Trump's inauguration. Lauren Sanchez was seen with Jeff Bezos as the duo entered the US Capitol Rotunda. Social media users asked how Lauren Sanchez forgot to wear a shirt amid freezing cold in Washington that forced the event to move indoors.

Sánchez sported a white pantsuit to President Donald Trump's inauguration, held in the Capitol Hill rotunda on account of freezing weather in the nation's capital. It harkened back to the outfit the former secretary of state, Clinton, wore to Trump's first inauguration in 2017. Sánchez was one of several women wearing white up front among Trump's political allies.

Why is Lauren Sanchez being slammed?

Once inside the United States Capitol Rotunda, where the inauguration was moved due to cold weather, she ditched the outerwear, revealing a striking white suit. Underneath the blazer she wore a lacy corset which a section of the internet deemed inappropriate for a formal occasion.

Other guests at the pre-inauguration celebration included Melania Trump, Ivanka Trump and Elon Musk.

Trump’s oldest daughter, Ivanka, was clad in a custom crystal and pearl-adorned Oscar de la Renta dress.

"Jeff Bezos future wife Lauren Sanchez is incredibly inappropriately dressed for a state occasion. Someone should have told her that having her white lace bra out on display is not acceptable," a third user wrote.

As always, some on social media chimed in about the fashion: "Lauren Sanchez looking both lovely and appropriate in winter white. Lots of winter white today, and I like it!!" one X user wrote, while others were more critical of her outfit choice for being too risqué for the occasion. She's been criticized for such outfit choices in the past.

"Why is Lauren Sanchez at the inauguration? It was supposed to be scaled back because of limited space and no spouses allowed, even for Trump's administration, yet Bezo's girlfriend is there?" another wrote.

A report earlier claimed that Jeff Bezos and Lauren Sanchez were planning a $600 million wedding is Aspen, Colorado at the end of 2024. But Bezos debunked the report and said everything in that report including the amount of money was false. Jeff Bezos and Lauren Sanchez have been together since 2018 with their relationship becoming public in 2019 after Bezos' divorce. The couple then announced they engagement in May 2023.
