A shooting was reported in Washington's Renton early on Sunday and certain media reports claimed that there could be "multiple victims". The Renton Police Department said officials are responding to a triple homicide at NE 18th & Kirkland Ave NE. Officers were called to the area shortly after 7:30 p.m, according to KOMO News. Police have asked the public to avoid the area.

The shooting took place near Meadow Crest Playground, Meadow Crest Pickleball and Tennis Court, and Meadow Crest Early Learning Center. Reports suggest three people have been killed in the shooting, but there's no official police confirmation on the death count yet. A representative confirmed to KOMO News that there was a shooting and three victims had been killed.



"Officers are investigating a shooting with multiple victims near Kirkland Ave NE and NE 18th St that occurred just after 7:30 pm. This is an active scene, so expect a heavy police presence. Please avoid the area. PIO is en route,"Renton Police Department said in a post on X, formerly known as Twitter.

The recent shooting in Renton comes hours after a vehicle rammed a group of people in Los Angles, injuring over 30, seven of them in a critical state.
