The Powerball jackpot has increased once again and the jackpot is now the third largest in history. The Multi-State Lottery Association confirmed on Thursday that the prize money had soared to $1.70 billion after no one matched all six winning numbers in the draw on Wednesday, September 3. The pot grew after no ticket matched all six numbers from Wednesday night's drawing. It now has an estimated cash value of $770.3 million, according to the lottery.

The white balls drawn on Wednesday were 3, 16, 29, 61 and 69. The red Powerball was 22.

When will the next drawing take place?

According to the release, the next drawing will now take place on Saturday, September 6, “marking the third-largest jackpot in U.S. lottery history".
