Nicole Scherzinger is making waves online after she suffered burns from boiling water just before performing at PSD Bank Dome in Düsseldorf, Germany, on Saturday, September 26. The 48-year-old singer sustained burns covering her leg from knee to ankle. Despite suffering the burns, Nicole Scherzinger performed a Pussycat Dolls concert in Dusseldorf, reports PEOPLE. Nicole Scherzinger continued the European leg of the tour alongside bandmates Ashley Roberts and Kimberly Wyatt, performing in Amsterdam shortly after.

Nicole Scherzinger took to her Instagram stories and shared a candid photo highlighting burns and blisters on her leg. She said boiling water spilled on her before a performance at PSD Bank Dome in Düsseldorf, Germany, on September 26.

“Nothing like boiling water falling on your leg an hour before your set — But the show must go on,” she wrote. “Thanks Düsseldorf for keeping me going. See you soon Amsterdam.” Scherzinger’s image showed the nasty burn running right down her leg from her knee to her ankle. She posted a snap of her leg, which is covered in painful looking blisters, red welts and burn marks from the boiling water. It was difficult for fans to Nicole Scherzinger managed to hit the stage after seeing her injury.

One said on X: “That sounds incredibly painful. Performing just an hour after suffering a serious burn takes tremendous courage and dedication. Wishing Nicole Scherzinger a smooth and speedy recovery.”

Nicole Scherzinger has reunited with the Pussycat Dolls after her Tony Award-winning run as Norma Desmond in Sunset Blvd. on Broadway. She is currently on the PCD Forever Tour with bandmates Kimberly Wyatt and Ashley Roberts. The group had planned a worldwide tour. However, they canceled the North American leg in May because of low ticket sales, according to Variety.

“Dolls: We want to share an important update with you,” the group said in a social media message at the time. “When we announced the PCD Forever Tour, we hoped to bring the show to fans across the world. After taking an honest look at the North American run, we’ve made the difficult and heartbreaking decision to cancel all but one of the North America dates.”

“Our U.K. and European dates are still moving forward as planned, and the response has been incredible, with several shows already sold out,” they continued. “We are putting everything into making this show a true celebration of the music and the memories, for the fans who have been with us from the beginning and those discovering us for the first time. We’re working hard to create the kind of show we’ve always dreamed of bringing to you. We cannot wait to bring this reunion to Europe and make these nights unforgettable.”

The group reassured OUTLOUD attendees that their headlining performance would not be cancelled, saying they “could not think of a more meaningful place to celebrate with our fans.”

“The LGBTQ+ community has shown us so much love and support throughout our career, and we’re honoured to be part of a weekend rooted in joy, pride, music, and chosen family,” continued the statement.
