According to Variety, Lady Gaga will release a song titled “Dead Dance” that will appear in the forthcoming season 2 of the Tim Burton-helmed Netflix series “Wednesday.”

Lady Gaga to release new song for ‘Wednesday’ Season 2

In May, Netflix confirmed Lady Gaga's involvement in 'Wednesday' Season 2 announcing the news during their Tudum fan event at the Kia Forum in Los Angeles. She will play Rosaline Rotwood, a “legendary” teacher at Nevermore Academy, who is set to cross paths with Wednesday Addams, played by Jenna Ortega, as per reports.

The second season had its London premiere at Central Hall, Westminster on July 30. Director Tim Burton praised the “Abracadabra” singer’s acting and even hinted at potential future collaborations. Reps for Gaga declined to confirm or deny the report.

Sources say the song was recorded with the same team that helmed the “Mayhem” album, primarily cowriters and coproducers Andrew Watt and Cirkut.

“She’s such an artist and so for me, working with an artist is inspirational,” Burton, who directs and executive produces “Wednesday,” told Variety of Gaga. “But I felt that way about Joanna and Steve, who I’ve worked with before. These people come on this set, you see the whole crew kind of light up. It’s a beautiful thing to witness.”

Wednesday Season 2: Where to watch

The second season of Wednesday has been released on Netflix, after the immense popularity of its first season in 2022. The supernatural mystery has a huge fan following in US.

Starring Jenna Ortega in the lead as a teenager possessing psychic powers, the story of Wednesday Season 2 will pick up where the first season of the show left off. With a lot of unfinished business, the new season of Wednesday promises to be a spooky ride, featuring a mysterious stalker.

The much-awaited second season of Wednesday will arrive in two parts. Part 1 is scheduled to debut on Netflix on Wednesday, August 6, 2025. In the US, viewers can stream the new episodes starting at 3 a.m. ET / 12 a.m. PT, in line with Netflix’s standard release schedule.

Wednesday Season 2 cast

Jenna Ortega, 22, is back in Wednesday Season 2 Addams alongside Catherine Zeta-Jones and Luis Guzmán, who have reprised their roles as her parents, Morticia and Gomez Addams. Also, Isaac Ordonez will again be seen as her younger brother, Pugsley.
