Jake Paul won't fight Anthony Joshua as his next opponent has been announced. Multiple US media reports suggest Paul will instead face off against Gervonta "Tank" Davis in an exhibition match on November 15 in Atlanta.

The world has been waiting to see who the next opponent would be for Jake Paul following his big win against Julio Cesar Chavez Jr. Jake Paul hasn't fought since his big win over ex-world champion Julio Cesar Chavez Jr. last June.

He scored a points victory over Chavez Jr., who was subsequently arrested over alleged cartel ties before being deported to Mexico. 'The Problem Child' had been linked with a super-fight against former world heavyweight champion Joshua. Initially, Jake Paul was in talks to take on Anthony Joshua, but contract talks have stalled.

Paul has won his last six fights since losing to Tommy Fury in February 2023. Last year, the YouTuber-turned-boxer secured his most famous win against 58-year-old former world heavyweight champion Mike Tyson.

Now, Jake Paul faces his toughest competition as he is all set to fight with undefeated WBA lightweight champion Davis, who is not 31 years his senior. “Talks for Paul to face Anthony Joshua collapsed over network issues,“ boxing reporter Mike Coppinger wrote on social media. ”

Speculation that Paul and Davis could clash was floated earlier this year as the latter prepared to face Lamont Roach, only for the former to shut down talk after the pair's draw.

There is a massive 65lbs weight difference between Paul and Davis, meaning the mega showdown will likely be contested at catchweight. Paul has been very vocal about taking on upper-echelon boxers, and he has named Davis in his potential opponents before.

Davis has a perfect 30-0-1 record and suffered his first draw in his career against Lamont Roach back in March. While the consensus was that Davis would rematch Roach, he is instead setting his sights on Paul.

Davis is the current WBA lightweight champion, and a loss to Paul could rocket him into challenging for a championship sooner than expected.

According to The US Sun, Jake Paul vs Gervonta Davis will take place on Saturday, November 15 and the bout will be an exhibition. Timings are yet to be confirmed for the card. State Farm Arena in Atlanta, Georgia, will host.

Paul vs. Joshua was in the works, but 'network issues' prevented the monstrous showdown from happening.

Paul has a contract with Netflix, while 'AJ' is contracted with DAZN, who have carried his last five matches, including his crushing defeat to Daniel Dubois last September.

The Brit, 35, is currently three years into a £100 million-a-year, five-year deal with DAZN.
