'Hitler of our time': Protesters reveal how they broke into DC restaurant to confront Trump
President Trump faced vocal protests while dining at a D.C. restaurant, with activists chanting slogans related to Palestine and D.C. issues. The demonstration, organized by Code Pink, disrupted Trump's meal with cabinet officials, who ultimately ...
The confrontation by protesters forced him and his entourage of cabinet officials to stand awkwardly listening to their taunts before they could sit down to eat. “You are not welcome here!” one woman can be seen telling him in a video shared on social media. “Yes he is,” another diner countered.
Initially, the president looked unfazed by the provocation. Then, later on, he made a gesture to his security team and said impatiently: “Come on. Let’s go. Get them out of here", reported The Independent.

The activist in question was escorted out of the dining area but continued to yell, despite some boos: “He’s terrorizing communities all over the world! From Puerto Rico… to Palestine to Venezuela! He’s not welcome to D.C.! He’s not welcome to Palestine! Palestine is not for sale!”
The activists chanted “They feast while Gaza starves,” “Trump is the Hitler of our time,” “Free D.C. Free Palestine!” and “Stop terrorizing communities all over the world,” as Trump and other senior administration officials ate at the restaurant.
Vice President JD Vance, Secretary of State Marco Rubio, Secretary of Defense Pete Hegseth and other senior White House officials were also present at the time of incident.
Ultimately undeterred by the disturbance, the group ordered crab, shrimp, salad, steak and dessert, according to White House Press Secretary Karoline Leavitt, which she said was “phenomenal.”

How protesters got inside DC restaurant
The protesters, who confronted Trump as he dined at a Washington, D.C. restaurant, said all they had to do to get into the same room as President was make a reservation, according to The Independent. Grassroots organization Code Pink took responsibility for the protest Tuesday night. The restaurant is directly across the street from the White House. In a social media post, the group noted: “Trump looked us in the eyes, and we made sure he would never dine in peace while communities are under siege.”
Code Pink describes itself as a grassroots organization dedicated to ending U.S. warfare and imperialism, promoting peace and human rights, and advocating for the redirection of resources toward healthcare, education, green jobs, and other programs that support well-being.
Videos recorded by the group inside the restaurant show activists chanting in the dining area near Trump and waving Palestinian flags. The White House, however, attempted to portray the visit as largely positive, posting on X that the president was “greeted with cheers as he dines in D.C.” Meanwhile, other footage suggested that some diners booed the protesters.
It was Trump’s first time eating a meal out at a restaurant outside of one of his hotels during either of his terms. The visit came after a reporter last week questioned why he had never been spotted dining out in D.C.
DiNucci told the Daily Beast that getting into the same room as Trump Tuesday night was as easy as making a reservation.

“We actually had a reservation, and got it pretty last minute, and went in,” she explained. “We thought it was just going to be Trump, we didn’t know it was all of his Cabinet, and we didn’t think they would be in such an open room — we thought he’d be in a different area — and we were placed really close to them.”
“For us, it’s the fact that he’s eating food that is grown, picked, transported, by the very same people that his regime is abducting from their neighborhoods and terrorizing, at the same time, funding and supporting the forced starvation and genocide of the Palestinian people, the amount that his cabinet has wreaked havoc,” DiNucci said.

She continued: “We were in there saying that he will absolutely not be able to have dinner in peace.”
Trump had already been grilled by the press about Israel and late disgraced financer Jeffrey Epstein before arriving at the venue, shattering his expectations of a calm evening. His trip, aimed at showcasing how secure Washington has become after the administration’s recent move to federalize policing in the District of Columbia, was overshadowed.
He deployed the National Guard and other federal forces to assist local authorities in combating urban crime, even though official crime data indicated such intervention wasn’t warranted.
