George Clooney and his wife Amal- one of the world’s most talked-about couples- are at the center of much media attention. This is because of the couple's drastic steps in order to protect their privacy, particularly when it comes to their life inside their family home.

In an interview with Glamour published on Thursday, Amal Clooney spoke about the value of privacy and the boundaries she sets to protect it. The human rights lawyer has a strict no-phone policy when
it comes to entertaining guests at the home she shares with George Clooney.

Amal Clooney detailed how she protects her family’s privacy while constantly being in the spotlight. Amal confessed that she has implemented a strict phone ban inside her opulent estate, noting that everyone who enters through her door must put their device inside a dedicated basket.

“Creating private moments and spaces is becoming increasingly difficult,” Amal admitted. “But that’s also why we entertain a lot at home. I now have a phone basket that I use to take everyone’s phones away!”

Sharing that she is guarding her family's privacy, Amal Clooney continued, “It’s important to get that balance where you have time alone with your family and with your friends where people feel like you can have a safe and frank exchange."

The human rights lawyer added that it was important to create a space where people feel like they can have "a safe and frank exchange" with their loved ones. "And I would say becoming a parent means you're more troubled by some of the intrusions. So we do the best we can to minimize any impact on our children," Clooney said.

Amal, who is mother of two children, admitted that it’s paramount to protect her brood.

Meanwhile, the Hollywood couple have appeared to balance being in the spotlight and taking care of their family.

When George Clooney premiered his Broadway play Good Night, and Good Luck in April — a project he both wrote and starred in — one notable person was missing: his wife, Amal Clooney.

Speaking to reporters at the event, Clooney explained Amal’s absence, telling People that she stayed home “with the kids.”

The couple shares twins, Alexander and Ella. In preparation for his Broadway debut, the Clooneys temporarily relocated to New York City. George proposed to Amal in April 2014, and the couple married five months later in Venice, Italy. Three years later, in 2017, the Clooneys welcomed their twins.

The couple have homes all around the world, including Italy, England and a French property roughly 30 minutes away from Château Miraval, an operating winery owned by George’s friend, Brad Pitt.
