Fortnite Chapter 6 Season 3 is over and Chapter 6 season 4 is on the verge of starting right after servers come back online. According to Tech Radar, Fortnite Chapter 6 Season 4 is now just mere hours away, launching later today (August 7). It is set to feature a Power Rangers collaboration and will have new points of interest for players to explore.

Fortnite Season 4 is expected to launch shortly after the scheduled server downtime, which typically begins in the middle of the night (EDT) and lasts around 2 to 6 hours. Based on this, here's an estimated launch window:

Is Fortnite down?

Fortnite downtime has been scheduled to start at 11pm PDT on Wednesday, August 6, and 2am EDT / 7am BST on Thursday, August 7. This information has been confirmed by a tweet from @FortniteStatus.

Epic Games has been busy teasing the next season of Fortnite over the last week or so, following a Superman-themed live event that completely wrecked Demon's Domain.

Judging from previous seasons end downtimes, Fortnite is due to be off line in the UK for the update from 11am to about 4pm today - and possibly a bit earlier. Fortnite Status has posted on X: “Please note: The new Season's PC update will be larger than usual Season releases.”

Fortnite Chapter 6 Season 4 launch date

Chapter 6 Season 4: Shock ‘N Awesome itself launches Thursday 7th August 2025, so there isn’t long to wait at all. Based on Epic’s past patterns and in-game countdowns, global rollout will likely stretch into August 8, depending on where you are playing and how long the servers are down.

Later this month, the Mighty Morphin Bundle will arrive in the Fortnite Shop, featuring iconic outfits for the Red, Black, Pink, Yellow, and Blue Rangers. Fans can also look forward to special extras, including the "Go Go Power Rangers Redux" Jam Track for Fortnite Festival.

As autumn approaches, Battle Pass holders will have the chance to unlock the legendary Dino Megazord Outfit starting September 16 by completing in-game Quests — just in time for the Megazord's anticipated debut in Fortnite.
