Trump sparks dementia fears
On Wednesday, Trump hosted a presser announcing tech giant Apple's commitment to spending an additional $100 billion in the US, as he attempts to encourage domestic manufacturing. Apple's latest pledge adds to its previous $500 million investment plan, which it announced in February to be implemented over the next four years. But the big development was somewhat overshadowed by Trump's awkward moment, where he said, "Thanks as well to Scott Bessent and Howard Lutnick... wherever you may be." Lutnick quickly called out to the president, "I'm right behind you."
"Oh, there you are," Trump responded, adding in an attempt to make light of the situation, saying, "hello fellas, I missed you."
People on X, formerly known as Twitter, did not waste a second and began to ridicule the President, with one user writing, "No way this guy already forgot he walked into the room together a few minutes ago lmao."
@Plankt0n01 added, "Most powerful man on earth has lost it."
The moment was reminiscent of another recently, when Trump signed an executive order to expand his council on sports, fitness, and nutrition. Trump introduced WWE star Triple H, and looked around for him despite staring directly at him as he spoke.
Immediately beforehand, Trump also stumbled over his words, causing many to believe that he suffered a senile moment. Trump's cognitive health has been the topic of conversation for several months now.

"And now, you know he really does have trouble getting up the stairs, he does trip and fall."
"The other things that's actually even more diagnostic, and I had a neurologist point this out and then several neurologists confirmed it, if you watch the way he walks, he has what they call a leg swing, where his right he kind of swings it in a semicircle like it's a dead weight, and he's just kind of swinging it around," the doctor added.
