The horrifying incident took place on Wednesday at Utah Valley University, where Kirk was addressing a group of college students. The 31-year-old commentator was in the midst of discussing gun violence in America when an unidentified shooter, who remains at large, struck him down.Kirk lurched forward as blood started to pour from his neck. He then collapsed from his chair, prompting terrified students to scatter from the scene. Reports indicate that the assailant executed this horrific act from a distance using a sniper rifle. Miraculously, no other individuals were harmed during the shooting.
Kirk was answering a question about transgender mass shootings in the United States of America before he was shot dead. “Do you know how many transgender Americans have been mass shooters over the last 10 years?” an audience member asked Kirk, according to a CNN report.

To this, Charlie Kirk responded, "Too many". The same audience member informed Kirk that the number is five, and proceeded to ask if he knew how many mass shooters there have been in the US over the last 10 years. “Counting or not counting gang violence?” Kirk asked.
A split second later, a gunshot echoed through the venue. Disturbing footage circulating online shows Kirk collapsing onstage, blood streaming from his neck.
What eyewitnesses said on Kirk's shooting

"We heard a big loud shot, I saw a bunch of blood come out of Charlie, I saw his body kind of kick back and go limp, and everybody dropped to the ground," witness Justin Hickens recounted.
He added that attendees gradually regained their composure once they realized the gunfire had ceased following the hit on the conservative activist.
Kirk is the CEO and Co-founder of Turning Point USA, a media company recognized for engaging in discussions on controversial political topics at predominantly liberal colleges. Despite the debates often becoming intense and participants frequently exchanging barbs, they generally remain peaceful, with only sporadic shouting.
