The photo of Bruce Willis was shared over a month after the Die Hard actor attended Tallulah’s wedding to Justin Acee alongside their family. In a candid photo, the two shared an emotional father-daughter moment amid Bruce’s ongoing battle with frontotemporal dementia.

Tallulah Willis shares a rare photo with dad Bruce Willis

In the picture, Bruce Willis can be seen flashing a smile as the artist and writer kissed the top of his head during the affectionate exchange. Tallulah Willis, dressed in blue-and-white checkered plaid shirt and a pair of black sunglasses, cradled her dad’s chin and head with her hands during the tender moment.

“So cute!” she wrote with two kissing face emojis, setting the post to The Monkees’ track “Daydream Believer.” The Fifth Element star could be seen closing his eyes as he soaked up the moment.

Bruce Willis' battle with dementia

The post comes nearly a month after Tallulah shared an update on Bruce Willis' health. Bruce’s family announced his diagnosis for aphasia and frontotemporal dementia (FTD) in 2022 and 2023, respectively. In March 2022, Willis was diagnosed with aphasia, a symptom that makes it writing and speaking difficult. A year later, the family announced the “Die Hard” star’s condition had progressed and he’d been diagnosed with frontotemporal dementia, or FTD. This degenerative disease primarily affects communication and behavior, as opposed to memory, like other types of dementia.

It all began when Bruce Willis’ speech patterns changed, his wife, Emma Heming Willis, told Town & Country in October 2024. Since Willis had a childhood stutter, however, Heming Willis thought the change in his language was related.

The Pulp Fiction actor—who shares daughters Rumer, 38; Scout, 35; and Tallulah, 32; with ex-wife Demi Moore. In 2000, Bruce Willis and Demi Moore parted ways after 13 years of marriage. But the exes embraced a loving blended family dynamic since their separation.

Their connection has only gotten stronger since The Sixth Sense actor’s 2022 diagnosis of aphasia, which impacted his communication and cognitive abilities.

Bruce, who is married to Emma Heming, 50, and The Substance actress were proud co-parents as Tallulah married on August 8 in the backyard of the family home. In a black-and-white photo shared by Vogue, Bruce was seen smiling during the rare public appearance, with his arm around his daughter while holding his new son-in-law’s hand.

When Heming Willis celebrated Bruce Willis birthday

In March 2026, Emma Heming marked his 71st birthday with an Instagram post raising awareness of FTD. She even encouraged fans to donate to the couple's new self-titled fund, which raise money for research and caregivers resources. In a January 2026 interview on the "Conversations With Cam" podcast, Heming Willis shared that her husband is not aware of his diagnosis.

“That’s the blessing and the curse of this is that Bruce never tapped in," she said. "He never connected the dots that he had this disease. I’m really happy about that. I’m really happy he doesn’t know about it.”

She added that "he is still very much present in his body."

"When someone says to me, ‘Does Bruce still know who you are?’ Yes, he does, because he doesn’t have Alzheimer’s; he has FTD," Heming Willis continued. "He has a way with connecting with me, our children, that might not be the same as you would connect with your loved one, but it’s still very beautiful and meaningful. It’s just different. You just learn how to adapt."

Early signs of Bruce Willis dementia

Difficulty in communication, especially speech was one of the early signs of Bruce Willis' dementia. Tallulah Willis described his early health changes as "a vague unresponsiveness" in a Vogue essay, "which the family chalked up to Hollywood hearing loss: ‘Speak up! ‘Die Hard’ messed with Dad’s ears.’”

“Later that unresponsiveness broadened, and I sometimes took it personally. He had had two babies with my stepmother, Emma Heming Willis, and I thought he’d lost interest in me,” Tallulah Willis continued, noting that this "couldn't have been farther from the truth."

She finally realized her father's health was declining when she was at a wedding and the father of the bride gave an emotional speech.

"Suddenly I realized that I would never get that moment, my dad speaking about me in adulthood at my wedding. It was devastating,” she recalled. “I left the dinner table, stepped outside, and wept in the bushes.”
