Stimulus payment in September soon?
In the aftermath of growing misinformation about stimulus payment in the US, the IRS has had to step in to clarify the situation. Despite claims to the contrary, the agency has been clear in explaining that such information should be checked with official accounts and that people should not be fooled.Three stimulus checks were issued during the COVID-era relief efforts, with the third and final payment requiring claims to be filed by April 15, 2025. Additionally, several states—including New York, Pennsylvania, Georgia, and Colorado—have been distributing inflation relief payments to residents affected by higher sales taxes driven by rising prices.
While speculation about a fourth stimulus check has surfaced on social media and unverified websites, there has been no official confirmation from Congress or the IRS to support this claim and any such news should be taken with caution as it could be misinformation or attempted fraud.
