Trump said the United States was actively helping Venezuela and expressed confidence in the country’s prospects. “Venezuela is going to make more money. Venezuela will do fantastically well. We are helping Venezuela,” he said.
He said the shift followed what he described as years of self-inflicted mismanagement. “Venezuela has been an amazing place for so many years, but they were ruining themselves with wrong policies,” Trump said.
The US President added that Venezuela had approached the United States with a deal after a recent military operation concluded. “Venezuela said let's do a deal after attack ended; they will make more money in six months than they made in six years,” he said, without offering details on the arrangement.

On Greenland, Trump questions US decision after WWII
Trump also revisited his long-standing remarks on Greenland, saying the United States had been “stupid” to return the territory to Denmark after World War II.He described the territory as strategically important despite its harsh climate. “Greenland is a big piece of ice…sitting in a key strategic location between Russia, China and the US,” Trump said, while also expressing “tremendous respect for Greenland, Denmark’s citizens.”

NATO's loyalty to the US under Trump scrutiny
Trump turned to NATO, reaffirming US commitment but raising doubts about the alliance’s willingness to support Washington. “We will be with NATO 100%, but I’m not sure they will be there for us,” he said, adding that the United States had long borne the financial burden.“We have never gotten anything from helping NATO. We were paying their bills—for what?” he asked.
Trump said allies faced a clear choice: “You can say yes and we will be very appreciative. You can say no and we will remember,” while stressing that his approach “would not be a threat to NATO. It would enhance the alliance’s security.”
