US President Donald Trump has revealed the "only thing" he "totally admired" about his predecessor- former US President Joe Biden. Trump hilariously roasted Joe Biden's sleeping habits during a recent interview with Fox News.

Trump was speaking with Laura Ingraham who is the host of Fox News’ ‘The Ingraham Angle’ in which he discussed several policy matters.

Trump on Biden's sleepy habits

The US President was questioned about his own sleeping habits when he took aim at his predecessor. "Well, the only thing I totally admired about sleepy Joe Biden is the following," Mr Trump said.



"He'd [Biden] go to a beach; he'd lay down on a cot – barely able to get his feet through the sand – he'd lay down and within minutes he's sleeping and you have cameras watching him.

"I could never do that – I would never be able to sleep like that. "That's about the only thing I think that was wonderful ... this man was a disaster."

Finally answering the question, he said: “I don’t sleep much. You don’t sleep much. A lot of people that love what they are doing don’t sleep much, I find. And so far it’s been okay.”

Trump mocks Biden

“Sleepy Joe” has long been a favorite insult of Trump’s, photos of Biden vacationing during his presidency became primary fodder for Republicans and MAGA supporters in previous years.

It’s not the first time Trump has mocked the footage of Biden at the beach. In August 2024, months before the presidential election and after the Democratic president had dropped out of the race, Biden vacationed in Rehoboth, Delaware. Trump slammed Biden and claimed Chinese President Xi Jinping and North Korean dictator Kim Jong-Un would not sleep at a beach in front of cameras.

The Republican National Committee even pushed a debunked and incorrect analysis in 2024 that claimed Biden spent 40 percent of his time in office on vacation with video of the then-president sitting on a chair at the beach. All in all, the aim was simple: to paint Biden as incompetent and unable to lead the country.

During the 2020 election presidential campaign, Trump had mocked Joe Biden's verbal blunders on the campaign trail and suggested they should effectively end his presidential bid. Trump had repeatedly dubbed the former US vice president "Sleepy Joe".

Trump had also recounted his shock when Mr Biden mistakenly said in a TV debate this week that 150 million people had been killed by guns in America. “I said that is a horrible thing, that is the end of his evening, that is the end of his political career,” Mr Trump said. “Then, after the debate, they are saying Joe Biden had a great night last night. I don’t get it.”
