Ukraine's foreign minister Andrii Sybiha on Tuesday said his country is not an obstacle for a peace deal with Russia and claimed it can achieve "just and lasting peace" under US President Donald Trump's leadership. "We are not the obstacle to achieving peace... we really expect from Russian side unconditional yes for ceasefire," he said, addressing a panel discussion at the Raisina Dialogue, India's premier conference on geopolitical issues, organised by the external affairs ministry and the Observer Research Foundation.

The comments came even as he said Ukraine was waiting for clarity to emerge following the telephone conversation between Trump and Russian President Vladimir Putin.
