The Trump administration is moving to boost deportation efforts by granting federal agents across agencies powers similar to that of immigration officers, the Wall Street Journal reported on Wednesday, citing an internal memo.

The acting Homeland Security Secretary Benjamin Huffman, has outlined plans to extend immigration enforcement powers to Justice Department agencies, including the Drug Enforcement Administration, the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives, and the U.S. Marshals Service, the memo quoted in the report showed.
