The motion poster, according to Variety, pays tribute to Christopher Reeve's iconic portrayal of Superman. It features David Corenswet as the Man of Steel, gazing upward while preparing to take flight. The reds, blues, and yellows of his suit blur into the background, creating a striking high-speed effect that makes it appear as though he’s soaring into the sky.
The poster’s tagline reads, “Look up.”
Warner Bros. also dropped a short teaser featuring the iconic Superman logo, confirming that the trailer will premiere on Thursday, December 19.
Gunn’s Superman—originally titled Superman: Legacy—marks the first film under the new DC Studios leadership of Gunn and Peter Safran. The movie is slated for a theatrical release on July 11.
