The anthology series follows guests and employees at the fictional White Lotus resort chain. This season will focus on an exclusive Thai resort over a week.
Natasha Rothwell will return as Belinda Lindsey, the spa manager from season one. New cast members include Leslie Bibb, Carrie Coon, Walton Goggins, Jason Isaacs, Michelle Monaghan, Sam Nivola, Lek Patravadi, Parker Posey, Patrick Schwarzenegger, Tayme Thapthimthong, and Aimee Lou Wood.
Bibb, Coon, and Monaghan play a trio of friends on vacation. Goggins plays a man traveling with his girlfriend, played by Wood. Isaacs portrays a wealthy businessman on vacation with his family.
Mike White created the series and serves as writer, director, and executive producer. David Bernad and Mark Kamine also executive produce.
Jennifer Coolidge, who played Tanya in the first two seasons, will not return. Regarding a possible return, Coolidge said: “no one from the show had reached out to her and also added that she believed Tanya’s story had 'officially ended'.”
