‘That’s my husband’: Proud wife Taylor Swift points to wedding ring as Travis Kelce scores first NFL touchdown of 2026

Taylor Swift drew attention during the Kansas City Chiefs’ game against the Indianapolis Colts on Sunday after cameras captured her pointing to her wedding ring while celebrating husband Travis Kelce’s first touchdown of the 2026 NFL season.

Swift was watching from a suite at Arrowhead Stadium on September 20 when Kelce scored in the first quarter of the primetime game.

Clips shared on social media showed the 36-year-old singer standing up and pointing towards her wedding ring as the Chiefs tight end reached the end zone. She appeared to mouth, “That’s my husband.”

The touchdown was Kelce’s first of the season. Swift, who wore a Chiefs camisole for the game, married Kelce in July.

Swift makes second Arrowhead appearance in a week

Sunday’s game marked Swift’s second appearance at Arrowhead Stadium in less than a week.

She had earlier attended the Chiefs’ 31-10 Monday Night Football victory over the Denver Broncos, where she watched alongside her parents, Scott and Andrea Swift, and Kelce’s mother, Donna Kelce.

Actor Tom Cruise was also present at the game and was seen speaking with Swift in the stands.

Cruise later discussed their interaction during an appearance with Jimmy Fallon. Asked what they had spoken about, he said, “She was schooling me on football.”

When Fallon asked whether he was serious, Cruise replied, “For real.”

Cruise also spoke about Swift’s knowledge of the sport, saying, “She was bringing the football. First of all, she’s a genius.”

He also praised her work across music, writing and directing.

“She’s funny. She’s got such a great sense of humour. A brilliant writer also, by the way. Brilliant musician and director. Very skilled,” Cruise said.

Kelce climbs NFL receiving list

The game against Denver had also seen Kelce reach another career milestone.

The 36-year-old moved into second place on the NFL’s all-time receiving-yards list for tight ends, overtaking former Dallas Cowboys player Jason Witten.

Kelce made a 59-yard catch that moved him into second place, with Swift and her family seen celebrating from the stands. He finished the game with 71 receiving yards but did not score a touchdown.

Kelce, now in his 14th NFL season, trails former Chiefs tight end Tony Gonzalez on the all-time list. Gonzalez remains 2,054 yards ahead of him.

Swift and Kelce married in July

Swift and Kelce began dating in 2023 and announced their engagement in August 2025.

They married on July 3, 2026, at Madison Square Garden in New York.

The ceremony was attended by family, friends and guests from the entertainment and sporting worlds. Actor Adam Sandler officiated, while Swift’s brother Austin served as her “man of honor” and Kelce’s brother Jason Kelce was his best man.

Stevie Nicks performed at the reception, while members of the Kansas City Chiefs and several of Swift’s celebrity friends were among those in attendance.

The couple have kept several details of the ceremony private and have not publicly released a complete set of wedding photographs.

Sunday’s game brought Swift’s wedding ring back into focus as she celebrated Kelce ending his wait for a touchdown in the 2026 season.
