The Spice Girls have sparked fresh reunion speculation after dropping a cryptic social media teaser ahead of the group’s 30th anniversary. Shared across the group’s social media accounts on Wednesday, the video carries just one date and time: “10.09.2026 | 2pm BST.”

The teaser is packed with references to the group’s past. It features the steps of London’s St. Pancras Renaissance Hotel, where the music video for their breakthrough hit “Wannabe” was filmed, with the song playing in the background.

“Spice Girls are a widely successful, global, choreographed, singing/dancing all female pop act with a record nine number ones in the UK and over 100 million global sales.

“Thursday 10th September at 2 o’clock BST.

“No sheet music required. But you will need a vinyl or CD player.”

The final line has prompted speculation that the announcement could be an anniversary reissue rather than a reunion tour.

“No one is reading the paper in the video. It says “are you a collector?” And “you need a vinyl or cd player”. It’s a re-release for sure,” one fan wrote.

Others are holding out for a tour.

“If it’s a world tour, I’m selling my house to buy tix!” another fan commented, while another declared: “PANIC MODE ACTIVATED.”

The teaser comes as the Spice Girls mark 30 years since their debut album “Spice,” which sold more than 23 million copies worldwide. The group comprises Mel B, Melanie C, Emma Bunton, Geri Halliwell and Victoria Beckham.

The Spice Girls last toured in 2019, when Mel B, Melanie C, Bunton and Halliwell played 13 shows across the UK and Ireland. Beckham, who has not performed publicly with the group since the 2012 London Olympics, did not participate.

Speculation about all five members reuniting resurfaced in 2024 after they were filmed singing “Stop” together at Beckham’s 50th birthday party.

The members have since repeatedly hinted at marking their 30th anniversary. Geri said in 2025 that “there will be something” involving all five members, while Melanie C said discussions about celebrating the milestone had taken place.

However, Melanie C told Australia’s KIIS Radio in March that “there is no reunion,” while saying she remained “very optimistic” about the group appearing together again.

Emma Bunton has also kept the possibility alive.

“It’s our 30th anniversary coming up and, you know, we would like to celebrate in some way. What way that is, we don’t know at the moment.”

Whether that celebration means a reunion, new release or another anniversary project should become clearer when the Spice Girls reveal what they have been teasing at 2 pm BST on September 10.
