A day after President Donald Trump’s team took office, the Spanish-language section of the White House website appeared to go offline, displaying a 404 error as of Tuesday afternoon.

The page, once accessible at WhiteHouse.gov/es, now prompts visitors with a message reading “Go to Homepage.”

This sudden disappearance of the Spanish-language content mirrors a similar event during Trump’s first term, when the page also went offline without any restoration later.

The Spanish-language version of the White House website has been a fixture since the administration of former President George W. Bush.

The tradition was continued under Presidents Obama and Biden, allowing Spanish-speaking Americans access to important updates and communications from the U.S. government in their native language.

However, as of now, the page remains inaccessible, and no clear timeline has been provided for its return.

The removal of the Spanish-language section is not the only significant change to the White House website under the Trump administration. A section dedicated to the U.S. Constitution has also been taken down, further causing inconvinience to regular visitos of the website and some concerns.

The move follows the signing of numerous executive orders by Trump, many of which address his administration’s stance on immigration.

Trump 2.0: Immigration laws in focus

In his first official actions, Trump has moved swiftly to overhaul U.S. immigration policies, with a series of executive orders aimed at curbing illegal immigration and reshaping America’s approach to asylum, citizenship, and border security.

Among the most significant proposals is the effort to end birthright citizenship, a century-old policy that automatically grants U.S. citizenship to anyone born on American soil, including children born to undocumented immigrants. This sweeping measure, which has been a central promise in Trump’s campaigns, is expected to face immediate legal challenges.

Trump’s orders include plans to send additional military forces to the southern border and suspend refugee resettlement for four months.

The suspension of the refugee program, which has allowed individuals fleeing violence and persecution to resettle in the U.S., mirrors actions from Trump’s first term when he temporarily halted the program before reducing refugee admissions each year.

As immigrant communities prepare for the impact of these new policies, many are bracing for a potential crackdown on illegal immigration and mass deportations, a key component of Trump’s long-standing immigration agenda.
