Sean Diddy Combs' trial: High profile names like Britney Spears, Michael B. Jordan emerge, shocking details revealed

In an unexpected turn of events, more high-profile names have been named in US disgraced rapper Sean Diddy Combs' ongoing sex trafficking trial. The trial of Sean Diddy began on Monday, May 12, as he faces several charges, including racketeering, sex trafficking by force, fraud and coercion, accusations which he has repeatedly denied and pleaded not guilty.

So far, the trial has seen his ex-girlfriend, Casandra 'Cassie' Ventura, take the stand. The 38-year-old dated Diddy, 55, on-and-off for over a decade and has alleged that she was subjected to years of abuse during this time, including being made to take part in the rapper's so-called 'freak off' parties.

Britney Spears, Michael Jordan in trouble?

The names of well-known and affluent celebrities- from Britney Spears to Michael B. Jordan were unexpectedly drawn into Sean Diddy Combs' sex-trafficking trial this week. Diddy's ex-girlfriend Cassie Ventura testified Thursday that he brought Britney Spears to her 21st birthday celebration, where the fallen music mogul made his first move on the R&B singer.

Ventura, who was in a relationship with Combs for over ten years, faced cross-examination by the defense as she recounted episodes from their tumultuous past. Her testimony unfolded under rigorous questioning from Combs’ legal team, who sought to discredit her account.

During the trial on Thursday, Ventura told the court that Diddy invited Britney Spears to her 21st birthday party in Las Vegas, the same night he kissed her. “Sean was there and he brought [music producer] Dallas Austin, Britney Spears,” she said, according to the New York Post. “I think those were the two people that stand out to me.”

At the time, their relationship was described as platonic. However, Cassie later testified that Diddy unexpectedly kissed her during a celebration at Jet Nightclub in The Mirage Hotel, an incident that left her in tears.

“I was just really confused at the time,” she said. “I was a young, new artist who didn’t really understand how things worked in situations like that.”

Photos from the 2007 event also show Paris Hilton in attendance. That same night, rapper 50 Cent hosted a separate party at the Hard Rock Hotel, which Diddy’s group eventually joined. Since court proceedings began, 50 Cent has not publicly addressed the overlap between the two events.

There are pictures of Austin and Spears with Ventura and Diddy at the Honey 3 actress' birthday party. Spears was seen wearing a trilby hat and a silk dress, while record producer Austin was snapped in a yellow t-shirt, statement chain necklace and sunglasses. Ventura was celebrating her milestone birthday at Jet Nightclub in Las Vegas on the night in question.

Suspected relationship with Michael Jordan

When testifying about infidelities and jealousies during her decade-long relationship with Combs, Ventura casually dropped another A-list star’s name. “Combs suspected you were in a relationship with someone else. Who was that?” asked defense attorney Anne Estevao.

“Michael B. Jordan,” Ventura responded, referring to the “Creed” star. Ventura also used one singing icon’s death as a way to signpost a near-tragedy suffered by Combs.

“Do you remember when Mr. Combs overdosed in Feb 2012?” Estevao asked. “Was that around the time Whitney Houston died? I believe so,” Ventura replied.

Cassie, who is now eight months pregnant with her third child, has accused Combs of years of abuse during their 11-year relationship. She has testified that she was coerced into sex parties involving male sex workers, which Combs referred to as “freak-offs.” She also accused him of raping her in 2018. Combs has pleaded not guilty to charges of sex trafficking, racketeering and transporting women for prostitution. If convicted, he could face a life sentence.
