Hours after the procedure at Tusa Hospital in Istanbul, she went into cardiac arrest and tragically died.
Ana travelled to Istanbul with her husband, renowned Mozambican artist Elgar Sueia, to undergo a breast augmentation, liposuction and a nose job in return for promoting Tusa Hospital in Istanbul on social media, according to local news outlet O Tempo. But hours after the procedure at Tusa Hospital in Istanbul, she went into cardiac arrest and tragically died.

Why was Ana Barbara getting surgery?
Miles told Brazilian news outlet O Tempo that she was receiving the procedures in return for promoting Tusa Hospital. "She wanted to undergo these procedures to improve her aesthetic standards. It was a dream of hers," Miles was quoted as saying by The Daily Mail.The couple had inquired about changing the date of the operation, which was originally slated for Wednesday, to allow an extra day for recovery. “Due to scheduling issues, the surgeon decided to bring it forward to Sunday,” Miles said, noting that the surgery took place just hours after they partied with the physician.
“We went to the clinic on Sunday just to see the place, but the doctor wanted to perform the procedure without Ana being prepared.”

"Due to scheduling issues, the surgeon decided to bring it forward to Sunday," Miles said.
"We visited the clinic on Sunday just to take a look at the facility, but the doctor insisted on proceeding with the procedure even though Ana wasn’t prepared," Miles said. Despite being out the night before, Miles claims his wife was convinced to go through with it.
Miles said the doctor even sent him a photo showing Ana recovering. Staff kept him updated, informing him that she was still under anesthesia and would wake up shortly.
But Miles began to worry when he sensed a shift in the staff’s demeanor. "They told me to wait in the room, but the assistants started acting oddly. I ended up waiting an hour and 15 minutes before I was given any news about her," he said.
Miles told the outlet that he had received a photo of his wife recovering and was told that she was still under anesthesia. “They told me to go to the room, the assistants were acting strangely. I waited for 1 hour and 15 minutes to receive her,” he said.

Hours later, doctors told him that she had died. “I went down to the ground floor and a doctor said that her heart was beating slowly, another said that she was already dead.”
The doctors were detained at the medical facility, but were later released by police. Tusa Hospital has since denied any malpractice and said its staff attempted to revive Buldrini following her surgery.
“Despite all efforts by our expert anesthesiology team, the patient could not be resuscitated,” they said in a statement obtained by Turkish outlet Turkiye Today. The facility added that its staff is cooperating with authorities.
