Sony has reportedly revealed the free game that will be available to PlayStation Plus Essential subscribers on PS5 in August 2026.

The Big Walk, a cooperative multiplayer adventure from the creators of Untitled Goose Game, will be available in August for PlayStation Plus Essential subscribers, claimed reports.

The title will launch simultaneously across all regions on Tuesday, August 4, marking one of the first confirmed additions to the service's August lineup, reports added.


The announcement was originally made during February's PlayStation State of Play, while Sony is expected to reveal the complete PlayStation Plus Essential lineup for August on Wednesday, July 29.

The game is being added directly to the Essential tier, giving subscribers another day-one title as part of their monthly benefits.

What is Big Walk?

Developed by the studio behind the critically acclaimed Untitled Goose Game, Big Walk is a cooperative multiplayer adventure that revolves around "teamwork and talking." Players explore a wide-open world filled with challenges, puzzles, and discoveries that can only be overcome through communication and collaboration.

Although Big Walk has already been confirmed, Sony has yet to announce the remaining PlayStation Plus Essential games for August 2026. The full lineup is scheduled to be revealed on July 29, giving subscribers a complete look at the month's offerings ahead of the August 4 release.
