"NOT GOOD!!!" Trump slams Washington air crash, says it "should have been prevented"

President Donald Trump expressed his concern on Wednesday about the crash between a US Army helicopter and a passenger jet near Washington, saying it "should have been prevented."

"Why didn't the control tower tell the helicopter what to do instead of asking if they saw the plane. This is a bad situation that looks like it should have been prevented," Trump wrote on his Truth Social platform, adding: "NOT GOOD!!!"

The crash involved a jet carrying 60 passengers and four crew members. The jet collided with the Army helicopter while landing at Ronald Reagan National Airport near Washington. The incident led to a large search-and-rescue operation in the nearby Potomac River.
