Nicole Kidman’s rarely-seen daughter Faith makes US Open appearance as actress opens up on divorce, Tom Cruise marriage

Nicole Kidman may have arrived at the US Open as the Hollywood heavyweight, but it was her rarely-seen 15-year-old daughter Faith Margaret who quietly stole the spotlight.

Kidman, 59, was photographed with Faith at the USTA Billie Jean King National Tennis Center in New York on day 13 of the 2026 US Open. The mother-daughter duo were seen holding hands as they made their way through the event, with Faith’s resemblance to her Oscar-winning mother hard to miss.

Faith, whom Kidman shares with country music star Keith Urban, has largely stayed away from the spotlight compared with her older sister Sunday Rose. Sunday has pursued modelling, while Faith has maintained a considerably lower public profile.


The appearance comes as Kidman opens up about love, marriage and heartbreak in a candid interview with British Vogue, reflecting on two of the most high-profile relationships of her life.

Kidman and Urban married in 2006 and announced their separation in September 2025 after 19 years together. Asked by British Vogue whether her earlier split from actor Tom Cruise had prepared her for her divorce from Urban, Kidman laughed off the idea that experience could make heartbreak any less complicated.

“It’s all new….Every time!” she told Vogue, throwing up her hands and laughing.

The actress, however, said her children have given her a sense of perspective through difficult periods.

“It’s an extraordinary purpose. Everything else is not important. These kids now, that’s what we drop everything for… It’s OK, we’re here. You’ve got people who love you, who are going to hold your hand and get through it.”

Her comments offer a glimpse into how Kidman is navigating another major change in her personal life, nearly two decades after her marriage to Urban began.

Kidman also looked back on her marriage to Cruise, whom she married when she was just 22. The couple, who became one of Hollywood’s most famous pairs, divorced in 2001 after nearly 11 years of marriage.

Kidman said her memories of that period have become somewhat blurred because she was so young when she entered the spotlight alongside Cruise.

“You have to remember literally, because of who I married at such a young age, I was thrust into it since I was 22. [My life has been] more time like that than not. My memory of it not being that is quite blurry, because I was really young,” she recalled.

“Suddenly I was 22, 23 years old and I had this huge movie star husband. But it just seemed completely natural. We just fell madly in love and it was that simple.”

She also remembered being warned that marrying one of the world's biggest movie stars could affect her own career.

“I remember people saying to me, ‘OK, well this is really going to affect your career,’ ” she recalled. “I’m like, ‘I don’t care. I’m in love. I want to be married.’”

“And then I was his ‘wife’ and they were like, ‘See, we told you.’ I’m like, ‘So what? I wasn’t meant to marry the man I love? Of course I’ll throw my career away. I don’t care.’”

Kidman’s reflections come at a striking moment: decades after becoming famous as Cruise’s young bride, she is now one of Hollywood’s most decorated leading actresses, while her latest chapter has placed her family, rather than her filmography, firmly at the centre of her story.
