The city is set to host the world's most expansive St. Patrick's Day Parade on Monday. Come March 17, the Fifth Avenue will showcase a vibrant green spectacle, featuring over 150,000 participants marching alongside musical performances and traditional bagpipes.
Established in 1762, this parade stands as the oldest and most extensive celebration globally. Run by dedicated volunteers, the event consistently attracts millions of onlookers, serving as a significant cultural celebration of Irish heritage.
Where and when to watch NYC's St. Patrick’s Day parade
Starting at 11 a.m. from Fifth Avenue and East 44th Street, the procession heads northward to East 79th Street. Spectators seeking premium views should arrive by 10:15 a.m., particularly near 59th Street and Rockefeller Centre."There is a lot of interest this year. We are looking forward to a great day," said Parade Chief Administrator Hilary Beirne.
St. Patrick's Cathedral will offer a special 8:30 a.m. Mass before the parade, with admission by ticket only.
