New video shows what Andy Byron and Kristin Cabot were doing before viral Kiss Cam moment

A new video of former Astronomer CEO Andy Byron and the company's HR head Kristin Cabot from the infamous Coldplay concert has emerged. The video, released by TMZ, was reportedly from just before the viral Kiss Cam incident.

Contrary to initial impressions that the kiss was awkward or spontaneous, the footage reveals that the pair were already displaying intimate behavior well before the camera caught them at Coldplay’s concert at Gillette Stadium in Boston.

The clip shows Byron and Cabot hugging, swaying, and sharing affectionate gestures during the band’s performance of "Yellow." At one point, Byron leaned in to kiss Cabot, who appeared receptive. Both seemed at ease and unaware they were about to be broadcast to thousands in the stadium — and millions online shortly after.


According to TMZ, the video “makes it clear they were all over each other even before the kiss cam,” debunking the notion that the moment was misinterpreted or taken out of context. The outlet described their interaction as “much more intimate” than originally believed.

After the kiss cam moment was aired on the stadium’s big screen, Coldplay frontman Chris Martin remarked, “Either they’re having an affair... or they’re just very shy,” triggering nervous reactions from both Byron and Cabot. Byron ducked behind a barrier while Cabot shielded her face and hid behind another attendee.

The footage went viral within hours, fueling widespread speculation of an extramarital affair. In the days that followed, Astronomer initiated an internal probe. By Sunday, Byron had stepped down.

“Andy Byron has tendered his resignation, and the Board of Directors has accepted,” Astronomer said in an official statement. “Our leaders are expected to uphold the highest standards of conduct and accountability. That standard was not met in this case.”

The incident has also reportedly had serious personal consequences for both Byron and Cabot, including strain in their respective marriages.
