Nearly 30,000 pounds of beef recalled in Florida, Texas: Reason and affected products

Nearly 30,000 pounds of raw beef imported from Argentina have been recalled in Florida and Texas. As per reports, Florida-based Corte Argentino USA LLC is recalling approximately 29,628 pounds of raw beef products imported from Argentina.

According to the US Department of Agriculture’s Food Safety and Inspection Service (FSIS), the products entered the United States without undergoing a required federal reinspection and the issue was identified during routine FSIS inspection activities.

The recalled beef was distributed to distributors and retailers in Florida and Texas. The FSIS said some of the affected products could still be in consumers’ refrigerators or freezers.


Consumers who purchased the recalled products should not eat them. The FSIS advises consumers to throw the products away or return them to the place of purchase.

Which beef products are recalled?

The recall covers various-weight cardboard boxes containing boneless beef products from FrigorIfico Gorina SAIC. The affected products include:

• “Top Sirloin Butt” (“Cuadril Sin Tapa”)
• “Eye Round” (“Peceto”)
• “Topside Cap Off” (“Nalga AD S/Tapa”)
• “Flat” (“Carnaza Cuadrada”)
• “Knuckle” (“Bola de Lomo”)

The recalled products bear the Argentinian establishment number “EST. N° OF. 2025” and shipping mark “26644-AA.”

The products were produced between May 15 and May 20, 2026, and carry use or freeze-by dates between September 15 and September 20, 2026.

Why was the beef recalled?

Imported meat products entering the United States are subject to FSIS reinspection after meeting requirements set by US Customs and Border Protection and the Animal and Plant Health Inspection Service.

The reinspection process includes checks of documentation, labeling, packaging and the general condition of the products. FSIS may also collect samples for testing for contaminants.

The recalled beef entered the United States without undergoing this required reinspection, prompting the recall.

Recall classified as Class I

The FSIS has classified the recall as Class I. According to the USDA, a Class I recall involves a health hazard situation in which there is a “reasonable probability that the use of the product will cause serious, adverse health consequences or death.”

The classification does not mean that illness has been confirmed from the recalled beef.

The FSIS said there have been no confirmed reports of illness or injury linked to consumption of the recalled products. Anyone concerned about a possible illness or injury should contact a healthcare provider.

The agency is urging consumers to check their refrigerators and freezers for the affected beef and not consume any product matching the recall details.
