Mysterious 7,000-year-old 'alien head' like figurine found in Kuwait. Here's all about it
Alien Head: Archaeologists discovered a 7,000-year-old figurine resembling an alien at Bahra 1 in Kuwait. The site, excavated by Kuwaiti and Polish researchers, is among the oldest on the Arabian Peninsula. This find raises intriguing questions ab...

Described as a “small, finely crafted head” with slanted eyes, a flat nose, and an elongated skull, the figurine is an unprecedented find in the Gulf region. While such artifacts are linked to the Neolithic Ubaid culture, this marks the first discovery of its kind in the area.
Professor Piotr Bieliński of the University of Warsaw's Mediterranean Archaeology Centre noted: “The presence of this figurine raises intriguing questions about its symbolic or ritualistic purpose for the community.”
Another breakthrough at the site was evidence of local pottery production. Researchers identified two types of pottery at Bahra 1—imported Ubaid pottery and locally made Coarse Red Ware (CRW). The discovery of an unfired clay pot confirmed Bahra 1 as the Gulf’s oldest known pottery production site, dating back to 5500-4900 BC.
The figurine and pottery findings shed light on the daily lives and cultural practices of one of the region's earliest communities, offering a fascinating glimpse into the ancient past.
