Mummy 4: First look of Rachel Weisz from the sets surfaces. Here's all you need to know about the movie

The first look of Rachel Weisz from the sets of The Mummy 4 has surfaced online, giving fans a glimpse of her character's vintage-inspired appearance.

In the pictures shared on X, Weisz can be seen wearing a mustard-yellow, polka-dot skirt paired with a rust-coloured blouse and a cropped brown jacket. A wide brown belt cinches the outfit at the waist, while a patterned neck scarf adds another period detail.

She completes the look with a wide-brimmed brown hat, long leather gloves and a structured brown leather case, creating the appearance of a woman dressed for an old-fashioned expedition or adventure.


The costume has a distinctly 1930s- and 1940s-inspired aesthetic, with its high-waisted full skirt, fitted waist, gloves and oversized hat. The earthy mustard, brown and rust colour palette also gives the outfit an appropriately adventurous feel for The Mummy franchise.


The images appear to have been taken while filming, with cameras and crew members visible around Weisz. Her appearance marks the return of her character Evelyn Carnahan from the earlier Mummy films.

All we know about Mummy 4

ET had earlier in August reported that the movie is being made with its original cast. The Mummy 4 is widely believed to be a sequel of the 1999 blockbuster though Universal Pictures has not revealed the official plot yet for obvious reasons.

However, screenwriter David Coggeshall earlier gave a hint about it saying that the screenplay as "beautiful, sweeping, scary and fun," suggesting the film will retain the mix of action, horror, adventure and humour that made the original movies so popular.

As reported, the sequel is being made with many of the original cast including Brendan Fraser, Weisz, Oded Fehr, Kevin O'Connor, and John Hannah. Reports further suggest that Michael Johnston is in talks to join the cast, although his involvement has not yet been officially confirmed.

The movie is currently slated for a theatrical release on October 15, 2027.
