Stephen Curry became the first player in NBA history to hit 4,000 career three-pointers, leading the Golden State Warriors to a commanding 130-104 victory over the Sacramento Kings on Thursday night. The win marks Golden State’s sixth consecutive victory and 11th in their last 12 games.

Fans erupted in cheers when Curry hit the milestone shot in the third quarter, with a tribute video playing on the big screen during a timeout.

Curry’s Milestone Night

Playing just one day before his 37th birthday, Curry entered the game needing two three-pointers to reach the historic mark. He delivered, finishing with 11 points, while also recently surpassing 25,000 career points last Saturday.


His first three-pointer came from the left wing with 5:35 remaining in the first quarter. Later, despite being heavily guarded by Keegan Murray and DeMar DeRozan, he missed a second attempt from the top of the arc.

Warriors’ All-Around Performance

Draymond Green led the Warriors with 23 points.
Jonathan Kuminga returned from a 31-game absence due to a right ankle injury, contributing 18 points on 7-for-10 shooting.
Jimmy Butler added six points, seven assists, and five rebounds, as Golden State improved to 13-2 with him in the lineup.

Meanwhile, DeMar DeRozan led the struggling Kings with 23 points, as Sacramento suffered its third straight loss and fourth in five games.

Historic Shot – Curry’s 4,000th three-pointer came from the right wing off a Moses Moody assist with 8:19 left in the third quarter. He shot 2-for-6 from deep on the night.

Red-Hot Shooting – The Warriors followed up their 51.2% three-point shooting performance in their previous game by going 22-for-39 (56.4%) from beyond the arc.

Coaching Milestone – Steve Kerr tied Hall of Famer Al Attles for the most coaching wins in Warriors franchise history (557).
