Kamala Harris has a new company to help her chart a new path

Kamala Harris has established an LLC called Pioneer49 last month in her home state of California, politico.com has reported citing sources.

The organization is likely to help fuel Harris’ next political move, the report claimed.

Though Harris has not revealed anything about her future, as per the report, she has three options - "run for governor of California in 2026, run for president again in 2028 or decline to run for office and be a leader of the party from the sidelines".


Harris unexpectedly became the Democratic presidential nominee after Joe Biden withdrew, but ultimately lost to Donald Trump.

The Hill earlier reported that Harris is planning to write a book, potentially the largest book deal for a vice president, to redefine her image and connect with a wider audience.

Some Democratic donors have expressed doubts about Harris's viability as a presidential candidate due to her losses in swing states. However, others are encouraging her to remain in public service.

Harris's allies have also advised her to take time before making any decisions. The transition from vice president to private life presents challenges for someone who has spent most of her career in public service, The Hill noted.

Earlier Fox News claimed that Harris has spoken with family, friends, and former presidential candidate Hillary Clinton several times since the defeat.

“The outcome of this election is not what we hoped, not what we fought for, not what we voted for,” Harris said in her concession speech. “But hear when I say … the light of America’s promise will always burn bright as long as we never give up and as long as we keep fighting.”
