Popular K-pop group NewJeans announced their departure from agency ADOR on Thursday, citing disputes between ADOR and its parent company, HYBE. The five members, led by creative director Min Hee-jin, who formerly headed ADOR, held a press conference addressing the issue.

The group expressed a desire to continue collaborating with Min Hee-jin after leaving ADOR. Member Danielle stated, "Once we leave ADOR, we'll aim to proceed freely with the activities that we really desire." However, the future of the group's name remains unclear as their contract with ADOR ends.

NewJeans shared plans for future music releases, with Danielle adding, "We really wish to release new music for Bunnies next year, as soon as possible." She also expressed hope to meet fans worldwide.

The dispute between HYBE and ADOR has been a major topic in South Korea this year. One member, Hanni, alleged workplace harassment during her time with ADOR and testified about it at a Labour Committee hearing in October.
