Pop star Britney Spears, who turned 43 on December 2, 2024, revealed she had made the decision to relocate to Mexico, citing the constant presence of the paparazzi as the main reason behind the move. In a heartfelt Instagram video, she expressed the emotional toll the media's portrayal of her appearance had taken.

"It really kind of hurts my feelings," Britney said in the video. "The paparazzi make my face look like I’m wearing, like a white Jason mask. It doesn’t even look like me." She added that the paparazzi had been "incredibly cruel" towards her over the years. Acknowledging her imperfections, she noted, "I know I'm not perfect at all by any means," but emphasised that their treatment had been "extremely mean and cruel," which led to her decision to leave the United States.



Britney also took the opportunity to make light of her birthday by joking in another video, "I'm turning 5 this year. I’m turning 5-years-old, and I have to go to kindergarten tomorrow," showing her light-hearted approach despite the challenges she has faced.

Britney Declared Legally Single After Divorce from Sam Asghari

In addition to announcing her move, Britney marked another significant milestone on her birthday—she was officially declared legally single. This followed the settlement of her divorce from Sam Asghari earlier in 2024. The couple, who had been married for just over a year, had already reached an uncontested agreement in May regarding property division and support obligations. Legal documents confirmed that December 2, 2024, was the official end of their marriage.

Sam Asghari, 30, had filed for divorce in August 2023, citing irreconcilable differences. In his statement at the time, he urged the public to treat the matter with kindness and respect, saying, "We will hold onto the love and respect we have for each other, and I wish her the best always."
