Google partners with Arsenal, Barcelona, Bayern, Liverpool and PSG for AI-powered fan experiences
The partnerships will bring Google's Gemini AI and Pixel smartphones into matchday experiences, club content and fan engagement, with supporters getting access to AI-powered match insights, club statistics and behind-the-scenes content.
The move comes as Google expands its use of AI across sports. Earlier this year, Google partnered with the International Cricket Council (ICC) for the ICC Men's T20 World Cup 2026, naming Gemini the Official AI Fan Companion and Pixel the Official Smartphone.

As part of that partnership, Google introduced features including an "Explore Cricket" tab in the Gemini app, AI-generated cricket insights and quizzes, and Pixel-powered views from inside stadiums. The partnership also included the "Craziest Fan Kaun" contest, which used Gemini's image-generation capabilities to let fans create AI-designed fan avatars.
Gemini to bring AI-powered match insights
Under the new football partnerships, Gemini will act as a personal AI assistant for fans, helping them explore match and club information.
Google said supporters will be able to use Gemini to analyse moments such as formation changes during matches, access head-to-head statistics and settle post-match debates. Its agentic capabilities will also allow Gemini to proactively handle tasks on users' behalf.
Pixel to capture behind-the-scenes football content
Google Pixel will work with the clubs' media teams to capture behind-the-scenes moments, player interactions and matchday content.
The clubs will use Pixel's cameras and AI tools as part of Google's "Shot on Pixel" series, offering fans new perspectives on matches and the moments around them.
Google also said Pixel 11 users can customise their devices with official wallpapers from the partner clubs.
Google targets women's football visibility
The partnerships will also focus on increasing the global visibility of women's football.
Google said it will work with both men's and women's teams to produce pitch-side content and amplify coverage of the women's game globally.
The company said the initiative aims to address the visibility gap in women's football despite growing audiences and record crowds at women's tournaments.
With Arsenal, Barcelona, Bayern Munich, Liverpool and PSG, Google said it will deliver exclusive behind-the-scenes content, matchday insights and AI-powered fan experiences designed to bring supporters closer to the teams and stories behind the game.
