The Epic Games Store is currently experiencing server outages, preventing users from logging in and accessing services. This outage, reported on Wednesday, December 4th, impacts users' ability to purchase, download, and claim free games. The platform hosts popular titles like Fortnite and other exclusive games, serving a significant portion of the PC gaming community.

The current free game offering, Brotato, is affected by the outage, making it difficult for users to add it to their libraries. The free game rotates every Thursday at 10:00 am CT. Brotato is scheduled to be replaced by Bus Simulator 21: Next Stop and LEGO Star Wars: The Skywalker Saga.

Numerous users have reported the login issues to Down Detector. The storefront remains visible, but the inability to log in renders it unusable. The Epic Games Store, launched in December 2018, functions as both a website and a standalone launcher for Windows PC and macOS.
