Did ABC broadcast fake US election results showing Kamala Harris winning? Here's all you need to know
During the Formula 1 Mexico Grand Prix, ABC affiliate WNEP-TV mistakenly displayed test election results showing Kamala Harris leading Donald Trump in Pennsylvania. These numbers were not real and were intended for equipment testing. The incident ...

The local station, WNEP-TV, quickly admitted its mistake and clarified that these figures—Harris at 52% and Trump at 47%—were not real election results. They were generated to help news organizations test their equipment ahead of election night.
“These numbers should not have appeared on the screen, and it was an error by WNEP that they did,” the station stated. Pennsylvania law prohibits counting mail-in ballots before 7:00 a.m. on Election Day, with all votes sealed until the polls close at 8:00 p.m.
Despite the clarification, the footage sparked reactions on social media, with conservative commentators questioning the election process's credibility.
An X user tweeted, "Who else thinks ABC should be investigated for “accidentally” showing Fake PA Election Results?"
The poll also indicates Harris leading in other critical states, with a 5-point lead over Trump in Michigan and a 6-point lead in Wisconsin. These states are part of the crucial "blue wall" that contributed to Joe Biden's victory in the 2020 election. The poll conducted interviews between October 23 and 28 with voters in Michigan, Pennsylvania, and Wisconsin, all pointing to a volatile electorate.
This is not the first controversy involving ABC and Kamala Harris. After a debate between Harris and Trump, the former president claimed that the moderators were biased towards Harris. Trump's comment on the matter was, “Despite having to debate three people, Polls firmly state that I won, and EASILY. I felt that also, but no Politician should ever do a Debate with ABC News. They have proven NOT WORTHY, and hopefully an investigation will be done as to whether or not they gave the Debate questions to Comrade Kamala.”
