Imported inflation will put pressure on China's economy, but the country has policy room to ‌absorb ⁠the ⁠shock from rising oil prices if the Middle East conflict ends soon, Chinese central bank adviser Huang ⁠Yiping said on ‌Tuesday.

Huang told media at ⁠a meeting in Beijing that he was concerned about the shock to companies' profitability from rising oil prices, as the ‌squeeze would be very adverse for the real economy.

Huang ⁠is a member of the monetary policy committee at the People's Bank of China.
