Charlie Kirk's shooter Tyler Robinson wore costume of Trump for Halloween? What his social media posts reveal

The alleged shooter of right-wing political conservative activist Charlie Kirk reportedly wore a costume of President Donald Trump for Halloween, his old social media posts revealed. The 22-year-old suspect, a resident of Utah, was taken into custody Thursday night after he allegedly confessed to his father, Matt Robinson.

In a post from 2017, Tyler Robinson could be seen dressed in an outfit shared by his mother Amber Robinson, when he would have been around 14, reports Daily Mail. The image shows him beaming at the camera while stood next to his younger brother.

Robinson was a student at Utah State University on a scholarship, the report said, citing insiders. He was identified as the main suspect in the shooting and remained at large for a day and a half.

Tyler Robinson didn't like Charlie Kirk

Utah Governor Spencer Cox announced that Tyler Robinson was arrested at a presser Friday. "Good morning, ladies and gentlemen - we got him," he said, adding that the suspect's family members informed the authorities informed the police that Tyler had become "more political in recent years".

Tyler Robinson's parents described incidents where he had come to dinner and 'mentioned Charlie Kirk was coming to UVU and mentioned why he didn't like him'. Governor Cox said that casings from the weapon used to kill Kirk were found to have several anti-fascist messages engraved on them, including one referencing the Italian anti-fascist song Bella Ciao.

One engraving read 'Hey Fascists, Catch!' - next to an up arrow symbol, right arrow symbol and three down arrow symbols - and another read "If You Read This You Are Gay LMAO", Cox said.

Utah Governor revealed that the murder weapon used to the right-wing conservative activist were found riddled with several anti-facist messages and of them was in reference to Italian anti-fascist song Bella Ciao. Robinson arrived on the UVU campus driving a gray Dodge Challenger, before opening fire on the influencer, police said. He was dressed in a plain maroon T-shirt, light-colored shorts, a black hat with a white logo and light-colored shoes.

During an interview to Fox News, Trump announced that 'someone very close' to the suspect turned him in. Trump said he had "a high degree of certainty" that law enforcement had arrested the suspect.

"The person was involved with law enforcement, but was a person of faith, a minister, and brought him to a US Marshal who was fantastic. They drove into the police headquarters, and he's there now. We have the person that we think is the person we're looking for." Trump said, as quoted by the Associated Press, citing Fox News.

Kirk, 31, was shot on Wednesday while addressing students and supporters at Utah Valley University. The killing, carried out in daylight and captured on video, was carried out when a large crowd had gathered under a canopy marked with one of Kirk's trademark slogans, "Prove Me Wrong."

Kirk was answering a question about mass shootings mere seconds before he was struck. He was rushed to hospital, where he succumbed to his injuries.

Tyler Robinson's arrest comes after a manhunt for the suspect stretched to over a day and a half and officials previously offering a reward of $100,000 for information leading to his arrest.

The father-of-two, known for his fierce MAGA views and thrilling debates with college kids across the country, collapsed immediately after being hit by the gunfire. He is survived by his wife and two children.
