After completing his alternative military service, BTS member Suga made his first public appearance during a surprise OT7 livestream on July 1, 2025. While the long-awaited reunion delighted fans, eagle-eyed ARMYs noticed something unexpected—a visible scar or mark on Suga’s palm, which sparked speculation about a possible injury sustained during his service.

The moment occurred when RM playfully prompted all members to show their palms during the Weverse livestream. Although his bandmates participated without hesitation, Suga appeared hesitant. It was only during his final wave goodbye that fans caught a glimpse of what appeared to be a scar or folded skin on his palm, as noted by Pinkvilla. This subtle detail quickly fueled online discussions, with many wondering whether Suga had suffered an injury during his 21-month public service tenure.

So far, neither Suga nor his agency, BigHit Music, has responded to these concerns.


Suga, who previously underwent surgery for a long-standing shoulder issue, was assigned to public service rather than active military duty. His enlistment began in September 2023 and ended on June 21, 2025.

Shortly after his discharge, Suga also addressed a past DUI incident from August 2024 in a heartfelt letter shared on Weverse. “I’m truly sorry for the disappointment and concern caused by what happened last year… I will do my best to repay the love you’ve given me,” he wrote, as reported by Koreaboo.

While the livestream was primarily a celebration of the group’s full reunion, the unexpected sighting of Suga’s scar became a major talking point.
