Electronic Arts (EA) has officially unveiled the first trailer for Battlefield 6, marking the return of the iconic first-person shooter series to a modern-day setting.

The trailer starts with a shot from inside the White House press briefing room, where a fictional U.S. president delivers a grim national address. He then warns a separatist mercenary group called Pax Armata, "It's over."

The trailer then shos warfare across various scenarios with dozens of soldiers in an airbase, fighter jets flying over snowy mountains, and tanks rolling out across a desert.

Return to Modern Combat

Fowllowing the trailer, many now expect Battlefield 6 to bring back players to modern warfare after focussing on World War 1 in Battlefield 1 (2016) and World War II in Battlefield V (2018). The most recent installment, Battlefield 2042 (2021), was set in a futuristic battlefield filled with high-tech warfare.
