Filming of Avengers: Doomsday has reportedly begining in March and is expected to hit the theaters next year (or may be in 2027). Notably, this will be the first Avengers movie since the Avengers: Endgame.

Meanwhile, there are speculations on the return of several key characters including Letitia Wright’s Shuri who was the Black Panther in the last Marvel movie. According to insider Daniel Richtman, Shuri is set to be part of the upcoming Avengers films, though her exact role remains uncertain.

In Black Panther: Wakanda Forever, Shuri stepped into the mantle of the Panther following T’Challa’s passing. However, with the film ending on the revelation of T’Challa’s son, speculation is growing over who will carry the legacy forward in Doomsday. Meanwhile, Black Panther 3 has yet to be officially announced, though Marvel Studios VP Nate Moore recently hinted at future discussions once director Ryan Coogler completes his current project.

Beyond Shuri’s potential return, Avengers: Doomsday is shaping up to be a major event. A leaked clip teases a tense exchange between Sam Wilson (Anthony Mackie) and President Thaddeus "Thunderbolt" Ross (Harrison Ford), as Ross urges Sam to reunite the Avengers. Reports also suggest that Doomsday will feature Robert Downey Jr. as Doctor Doom, with the Russo Brothers directing, further fueling excitement.

Meanwhile, Guardians of the Galaxy fans are eager for news on Star-Lord’s return. Chris Pratt recently addressed the speculation, hinting that Marvel plans to honor its promise of bringing his character back, though he stopped short of confirming his involvement in Doomsday.

Adding to the intrigue, Benedict Cumberbatch has confirmed Doctor Strange’s return, despite earlier reports that he wouldn’t be involved. There’s also speculation about Chris Evans and Hayley Atwell appearing, though it’s unclear if they will reprise their original roles or portray alternate versions of their characters.
