Nocturne plot

Nocturne follows Jonah Lynn, played by Liev Schreiber, an ex-soldier who becomes a homicide detective. After growing tired of the dangerous streets of Philadelphia, Jonah moves to a small town in Western Pennsylvania hoping to build a quieter life. But his plans for peace quickly unravel when several people begin disappearing.

The investigation takes a disturbing turn when the disappearances appear to be connected to Jurek Walter, a highly intelligent and ruthless serial killer played by Stephen Graham. The problem is that Walter was believed to be safely imprisoned. As the mystery deepens, Jonah is forced to confront a threat that could put both his investigation and his family in danger.

The official synopsis asks: “How far will Jonah go?” when the search for Walter's final missing victim forces him to involve his surrogate daughter, FBI Agent Saga Bauer.

Who is Jurek Walter in Nocturne?

Stephen Graham plays Jurek Walter, the central antagonist of Nocturne. Walter is described as a diabolically cunning serial killer who has already left a trail of disappearances behind him. The trailer suggests that authorities believed Walter was securely confined at Riverside Psychiatric Hospital.
