University of Missouri Health Care confirmed that Corbin Rodenberg remains in critical condition.

A 21-year-old man is in critical condition after falling from the rooftop bar at Harpo’s Bar and Grill in Columbia, Missouri, on Sunday night, August 23. The man, identified as former University of Missouri student Corbin Rodenberg, was taken to a local hospital after the incident. The Columbia Police Department responded to reports of the fall at around 9:05 p.m. local time.

Rodenberg’s mother, Kaley, has since shared emotional updates about her son’s condition on social media as his family waits for signs of recovery.

Corbin Rodenberg remains in critical condition

University of Missouri Health Care confirmed that Rodenberg remains in critical condition. According to his mother, he suffered multiple skull fractures and various other broken bones and was placed on a ventilator. Kaley said her son was undergoing a brain procedure as doctors worked to understand the extent of his injuries.

"He is currently having a brain procedure to hopefully help and get some answers. It's a waiting game right now," she wrote. "Parents hug your babies tight and everyone please send up some thoughts and prayers for my baby and those working on him."

Local reports said doctors had to relieve pressure on Rodenberg’s brain. His injuries included multiple skull fractures and a fractured pelvis.

Mom shares update with “small miraculous glimmers”

The following day, Kaley shared another update, saying her son remained unconscious but that doctors had observed some encouraging signs. "In this nightmare of unknowns and continuous waiting, I'm able to find comfort in the people coming forward to tell me how kind Corbin is and how much he has made an impact on their lives," she wrote.

She added: "Corbin has been searching for his parth in life but the one constant he always held to and what he would always tell me is, 'Mom I just want to find something where I can help someone and make a positive impact that makes a difference.' "

Kaley also said Rodenberg was "unable to give any verbal cues," but described the family as seeing "a few small miraculous glimmers of positive signs."

Former Missouri student and football player

Rodenberg was a former University of Missouri student and graduated from Chillicothe High School in 2023. He also played football at Chillicothe High School. The University of Missouri shared its support for Rodenberg and his family, saying:

"Our thoughts are with former Mizzou student Corbin Rodenberg and his family." The Chillicothe School District also expressed support, saying:
