GENEVA: Automaker Ford on Tuesday unveiled its small car B-MAX at the Geneva Motor Show with plans to launch it in markets across the world, including India.

"This is a small car for many markets and it will go on production later this year. It has potential in all small car market," Ford President and CEO Alan Mulally told reporters here.

Asked if the company planned to launch the product in India, he said: "At this moment, I cannot say anything, but one thing is sure that it will go around the world."

This may be a part of the eight new products planned for India by middle of this decade, he added. "The Ford B-MAX really challenges traditional small car thinking, and pioneers a concept not attempted by any other manufacturers," Ford (Europe) Chairman and CEO Stephen Odell said in a statement.
