Fire in Morocco mattress factory kills 25: report

Twenty-five people were killed and eight seriously injured in a fire Saturday at a mattress factory in Morocco's biggest city Casablanca, the domestic MAP news agency reported.

CASABLANCA: Twenty-five people were killed and eight seriously injured in a fire Saturday at a mattress factory in Morocco's biggest city Casablanca, the domestic MAP news agency reported.

Citing the emergency services, it said the fire broke out on the ground floor of the Rosamor Furniture plant at around 10 a.m. (1000 GMT), when about 60 employees were present.

The cause of the blaze, in the Lissasfa section of Casablanca, was not immediately known.
