FedEx cuts profit forecast citing fuel prices

US package delivery company FedEx Corp slashed its quarterly earnings forecast, blaming surging fuel prices.

BOSTON: US package delivery company FedEx Corp on Friday slashed its quarterly earnings forecast, blaming surging fuel prices.

The company said it now expects to report a profit of $1.45 to $1.50 per share for its fourth fiscal quarter ending May 31, lower than its prior forecast of $1.60 to $1.80 per share.
