Ericsson announces $4.5- $5.0-bn deal with Sprint

STOCKHOLM: Ericsson of Sweden, the world's leading mobile phone network provider, said Thursday it had signed a seven-year contract with US group Sprint Nextel worth 4.5-5.0 billion dollars (3.2-3.5 billion euros).
